Cayucas is rooted in something familiar. Huaraches we’ve always known, shaped by how we move through the world today.

I’m Maritza. I’ve worn huaraches for years — to work, through the city, out with friends. The ease, the comfort, the soul of them stayed with me.

At some point, I realized not everyone saw them as everyday shoes. I want to shift that.

Cayucas brings huaraches into modern life. Each pair is handmade in Sahuayo, Michoacán, where my family is from. They’re crafted using traditional techniques passed down through generations of artisans. We’re not starting from scratch. We’re building on something with meaning.

These shoes are light, versatile, and grounded in something deeper. Made to move with you. Crafted to carry you.
