Isela is a black woven leather heeled huarache for women, handmade in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico. Featuring a handwoven leather upper, open toe, ankle ties, and a low block heel, Isela brings traditional Mexican huarache craftsmanship into a modern heeled sandal.
Handmade in small batches by skilled artisans, the all-black design makes Isela an easy dressier alternative to a flat huarache while keeping the woven leather construction at the center.
Materials
Upper: Genuine leather, individually cut and handwoven by artisans in Mexico. The handcrafted weave creates a distinctive texture, while the leather ties allow you to adjust the shoe around the ankle. Subtle variations are part of the handmade process and make each pair unique.
Sole: Genuine leather sole with a low heel, crafted to maintain a lightweight and elegant silhouette.
Fit & Sizing
Isela uses U.S. women’s sizing and is offered in whole sizes only.
Isela has a streamlined silhouette best suited for regular and narrow feet.
If you usually wear a whole size:

About the Fit
Isela’s woven leather may feel slightly firm or fitted across the foot at first. With regular wear, the leather will naturally soften and mold to the shape of your feet.
The leather will soften and give slightly in width, but the shoe will not stretch in length. If your toes feel restricted or you are unsure between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
Care
Gently wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking your shoes, as genuine vegetable-tanned leather may darken slightly when exposed to excess moisture. Allow them to air dry naturally and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
