Elena is a women's woven leather flat handmade in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico. Inspired by the traditional Mexican huarache, Elena features handwoven genuine leather, a closed toe and an adjustable lace-up design.
Handcrafted in small batches by skilled artisans in Mexico, Elena combines traditional huarache weaving with the versatility of an everyday leather flat.
Materials
Upper: Crafted from genuine vegetable-tanned leather, individually cut and handwoven by skilled artisans in Mexico. Vegetable tanning creates durable leather that naturally develops a rich patina over time, making every pair unique. With regular wear, the leather gradually softens and molds to the shape of your feet for a more personalized fit.
Sole: Natural crepe sole designed for everyday comfort, flexibility, and reliable traction.
Size Guide
Elena is offered in whole U.S. women’s sizes only.
Elena has a structured woven upper that gradually softens and adapts to your feet with wear.
If you usually wear a whole size:

Regular or narrow feet: Choose your usual size.

Wide feet: Choose one size up.
If you usually wear a half size:

All foot widths: Choose the next whole size up.
If you have very wide feet, please note that sizing up will provide additional room but may also add length. If you are unsure between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

About the Fit
Elena’s vegetable-tanned leather may feel firm or fitted across the foot at first. With regular wear, the woven upper will naturally soften and mold to the shape of your feet.
The leather will soften and give slightly in width, but the shoe will not stretch in length. If your toes feel restricted or you are unsure between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
Care
Gently wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking your shoes, as genuine vegetable-tanned leather may darken slightly when exposed to excess moisture. Allow them to air dry naturally and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
